CONFIDENTIAL6G Featured in the SNS Journal 2025
The SNS Journal 2025 has been published, presenting the achievements of 79 projects that are shaping Europe’s future in 6G research and the continued evolution of 5G. We are pleased to share that CONFIDENTIAL6G is among the projects highlighted in this year’s edition.
The journal, coordinated by the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU), brings together contributions from projects that cover a broad spectrum of topics. These range from enabling technologies such as advanced radio and network architectures, to experimental platforms that test new concepts at scale, and application-driven use cases that demonstrate potential value for industry and society. It provides a structured overview of how European research and innovation activities are addressing technical, economic, and societal challenges on the path to 6G. The publication serves as a reference point for stakeholders across the ecosystem — researchers, technology providers, operators, and policymakers — offering insights into how current projects contribute to secure, reliable, and innovative communication systems.
CONFIDENTIAL6G contributes to this vision by focusing on methods that enhance confidentiality, privacy, and resilience in next-generation networks. The project explores technologies such as functional and homomorphic encryption, privacy-preserving machine learning, trusted execution environments, and secure service orchestration. Together, these approaches address critical requirements for protecting data and ensuring trust in distributed 6G environments that will integrate telecom and cloud infrastructures. Our entry in the journal outlines the project’s objectives, the technical approach we follow, and the expected outcomes, with emphasis on how these results support the SNS JU mission of building strong European capabilities in secure connectivity.
The inclusion of CONFIDENTIAL6G in the SNS Journal 2025 provides an opportunity to present our work to a wider audience within both the research and the industrial community. It also illustrates the collaborative nature of the programme, underlining how progress across different projects contributes to the shared objective of establishing trustworthy and future-ready network systems in Europe.
