FUNDACION IMDEA SOFTWARE

The IMDEA Software Institute is part of IMDEA, the Madrid Institutes for Advanced Studies, a network of international research centers in the Madrid region for research of excellence in areas of high economic impact.

IMDEA Software focuses on research in the area of Computer Science, its main goal being to devise methods that will allow the cost-effective development of software products with sophisticated functionality and high quality, i.e., safe, reliable, and efficient. Among the expertise at IMDEA Software is research on security, and in particular cryptography, where it counts with leading experts in the area of privacy-preserving computation techniques

Role in the project

IMDEA Software will contribute in the development of privacy-preserving tools such as multiparty computation protocols, zero knowledge proofs, verifiable computation based on homomorphic encryption, and in the development of protocols for secure distributed machine learning based on these tools, as well as their interaction with the blockchain.
