CONFIDENTIAL6G at the Workshop on Secret Sharing Schemes (WSSS 2025)
On May 14, 2025, CONFIDENTIAL6G was represented at the Workshop on Secret Sharing Schemes (WSSS 2025) in Tarragona, Spain. The event, organized by the HERMES project and INCIBE, brought together researchers and practitioners in the field of secure distributed computation and cryptographic protocols.
As part of the programme, Dr. Ignacio Cascudo from IMDEA Software Institute, a key partner in CONFIDENTIAL6G, delivered a keynote talk focusing on the mathematical and practical foundations of secret sharing. His presentation addressed current challenges and advancements in designing efficient schemes that ensure data privacy and robustness in distributed systems — a topic that aligns closely with the goals of CONFIDENTIAL6G.
Secret sharing is a central building block in many of the privacy-preserving technologies developed under CONFIDENTIAL6G, especially for enabling secure collaborative computation across distributed network infrastructures. Dr. Cascudo’s participation at WSSS 2025 provided an opportunity to share research insights from the project with the broader cryptographic research community and to engage in discussions that help shape the future of secure communications in next-generation networks.
The workshop’s agenda and further information are available on the official WSSS 2025 website: https://proyectohermesincibe.org/wsss/
