Technische Universität Wien
Technische Universitat Wien (TU Wien)
The **Technische Universität Wien (TU Wien)**, founded in 1815, is Austria’s largest research and educational institution in the fields of science and technology, with over 28,000 students and a strong international reputation. TU Wien has established itself as a leader in cybersecurity and privacy research, particularly through its dedicated research unit on **Privacy-Enhancing Technologies (PETs)**. This unit focuses on developing innovative solutions to protect privacy in modern digital systems, advancing both theoretical and applied aspects of cryptography, secure computation, and data protection.
Additionally, the **Cybersecurity Center at TU Wien** fosters interdisciplinary collaboration in areas such as IT security, cryptography, and system security. Research from TU Wien is regularly published in leading venues, including **ACM CCS**, **USENIX Security**, and **NDSS**, contributing to its position as a hub for cutting-edge advancements in privacy and security.
Role in the project
TU Wien’s contributions to the project focus on the areas of **multi-party computation (MPC)** and **verifiable computing**. Additionally, we bring extensive expertise in **privacy-enhancing technologies** for blockchain systems, cryptographic protocols, and formal (provable) security analysis.
Our goal is to strengthen the **security and privacy** of blockchain technologies in the context of 6G by leveraging advanced cryptographic techniques. Furthermore, we will contribute to the design and analysis of **post-quantum secure cryptographic protocols**, ensuring resilience against emerging quantum threats.
