Fabian Schmid Presents on Privacy by Design at Values by Design Workshop

Fabian Schmid from Technische Universität Graz, CONFIDENTIAL6G Project Partner, delivered an invited talk on Privacy by Design at the Values by Design PhD Workshop. This event is part of the Colloquium Digitale “Digitalization, People, and Society” series by the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) and the Karl-Franzens-University Graz.

The workshop, focusing on “Ethics by Design,” invites PhD students from all disciplines to explore the concept of “Digital Values” from philosophical, ethical, sociological, economic, and legal perspectives. Discussions will cover the significance of digital values and their impact, including the “Domino Effect” on these values. The workshop aims to critically examine the designability of values in and through IT.

This event is organized in collaboration with the Human Factor in Digital Transformation consortium of the Doctoral Academy at the University of Graz. The ÖAW’s Colloquium Digitale series seeks to foster dialogue on digitalization and artificial intelligence, emphasizing the active shaping of digital transformation.
